Improve CO Cost of Living
To improve the cost of living in Colorado, we need a multifaceted approach involving reductions in state property and income taxes, coupled with robust protection of the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR). Lowering property taxes will alleviate the financial burden on homeowners and renters, as reduced tax expenses are likely to translate into more affordable housing costs. Similarly, cutting income taxes can leave more disposable income in the hands of residents, fostering greater economic flexibility and spending power. Protecting TABOR ensures that future tax increases remain subject to voter approval by preserving taxpayer control over fiscal policy and preventing unrestrained government expansion. This comprehensive strategy can collectively ease financial pressures on Colorado families and create a more manageable cost of living.
End Sanctuary Status
Illegal immigration in Colorado strains our public resources of healthcare, education, and social services, leading to increased costs for taxpayers. It also challenges law enforcement and public safety as authorities work to manage and address issues related to undocumented individuals. Sanctuary status lowers wages across the workforce spectrum without keeping up with the rate of inflation. So over time, every working Coloradan loses. Let’s put an end to this humanitarian crisis that is resulting in forced child labor and sexual exploitation.
Rebuild Election Integrity
Every Colorado citizen deserves for their vote to count and not be diluted by illegitimate votes. Let’s improve our election process by requiring voter ID to strengthen verification and prevent fraud. In addition, let’s eliminate mail-in balloting by establishing an election day holiday which will increase voter turnout by making it easier for people to get to the polls for in person voting. Additionally, a bipartisan commission on the Secretary of State’s office will ensure transparency and fairness in managing ballot issues and candidates. We must clean up voter rolls by removing the deceased, non-citizens, and those that have moved to a different county, state and/or country.
